NMCPCP Raw Wastewater Pumping System Rehabilitation and Replacement, B4 Pump Station includes construction of a two-story pump station with a 45-foot, below-grade basement housing seven dry-pit submersible pumps. That pump station ties into existing facilities at the Noman M. Cole Pollution Control Plant (NMCPCP) through 2,000 linear feet of new 60-inch main pipes. The B2 pump station will undergo a full rehabilitation, including new piping, valves, and controls.
These upgrades to existing facilities increase the plant's sewage treatment capacity. The new facilities and equipment serve as the foundation for future system upgrades on downstream processes and allow the plant to meet Fairfax County’s growing demand.
